Teaching

Courses taught by Cameron Wimpy at Arkansas State University.

I teach courses in political methodology, comparative politics, and public policy at Arkansas State University. My approach emphasizes hands-on data analysis, real-world applications, and building practical skills that students carry into their careers.

Fall 2026

I’m teaching two courses in Fall 2026:

  • PLSC 66003 — Advanced Political Analysis (graduate). Quantitative methods for political science in R: inference, linear regression, maximum likelihood, diagnostics, and reproducible reporting with Quarto.
  • PLSC 4489V / 6680V — Election Administration and Voting (cross-listed undergraduate/graduate). A seminar on how American elections actually get run — officials, laws, machines, and the research on all three.

Course sites will appear here closer to the start of the semester. If you’re a prospective or enrolled student and want to know more in the meantime, email me.
